WJXE-LP channel 15 is an independent television station serving Jacksonville, Florida and surrounding communities. Its transmitter is located in Jacksonville. WJXE-LD, the station's digital channel, launched on December 1, 2007 and began branding as "Fresh TV".
WJXE has entered an agreement with Comcast to make the station available to all of its 300,000 subscribers in the Jacksonville area. It will be offered on Comcast channel 14.
Local programming is targeted towards the African American audience. The station does not have a news operation but offers a weekday morning show entitled the First Coast Breakfast Club. The station also offers local high school sports and broadcasts Jacksonville JAM games. In addition, the station is talking to local historically black colleges and universities about providing programming.
WJXE will lease space from local PBS affiliate WJCT to produce its programming.
