WJAN-CA is a Spanish-language Independent station in Miami, Florida. The station runs news, along with other Spanish-language programming. The station mostly talks about Cuba and its regime. The station also broadcasts news programming from CNN en Español.
WJAN-CA began broadcasting in Spanish language in 1995. That same year it began broadcasting its first independently produced entertainment series produced for the Hispanic market in the United States, A Oscuras Pero Encendidos. Hosted by producer and entertainer Paul Bouche, the show became such a success that in 2000, owner Omar Romay decided to start investing in more locally produced entertainment programs. Currently, the station boasts 7 hours of original programming per day and has a share of over 10 percent of the Spanish language television audience in Miami during prime time. Some of the shows that make up their lineup are : A Mano Limpia with Oscar Haza and Seguro Que Yes with funny man Alexis Valdes.
