I like the structure, but I'm not too sure whether a section on VSU is completely warranted, given that it's not specific to this university. Also, a section (and links) about the faculties of the university would probably be a neat idea. I'll leave you to decide where to put that last one in. Nebuchanezzar 12:28, 6 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Misc comments

I apologise for my boldness in creating a new section. In any case, I feel that perhaps the external links to specific departments in the main body of the article could be reduced? If there are no articles on these departments, interested readers could access them from the main university website?? --Sumple (Talk) 07:46, 10 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Comments about faculties

I do dislike the current layout of this article, in regard to the importance given to the actual faculties. It was this current layout that was the major catalyst for me wanting to do this rewrite. I certainly do not think that such importance should be granted to the faculty layout in the upcoming article, but much like you I do think that a certain amount of information is required. An idea would be a short history of each of the faculties, a link to the website and a small sample of the types of awards offered by each of the faculties.

Also, I took the time tonight to write a section of the history of UNSW, from the information I can gather from this book, and various UNSW websites. It does however, lack any information about the Aboriginal heritage of the university, and there seems to only be limited information on the Rory Hume fiasco. Albeit, there's a paragraph on the controversy in the article as I have it written, but for the importance of it I simply don't think it's enough.

I'll send you the draft sometime later, and we can work on it to the point that it's a fair article, worthy of being added to the greater UNSW article. Nebuchanezzar 12:36, 10 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Implementation of the rewrite

I would have thought that this article would be updated in sections, rather then all at once. Did you have it planned any other way? Nebuchanezzar 14:55, 10 June 2006 (UTC)
