WIQO-FM is a Country formatted broadcast radio station licensed to Covington, Virginia, serving Allegheny County, Virginia.
WIQO is owned and operated by WVJT, LLC. The station was acquired by WVJT, LLC in 2005 as part of a 4 station deal from the bankrupcty court supervising the liquidation of Quorum Radio Partners.[1]
In January 2007, WVJT, LLC applied for a construction permit to move WIQO-FM to Forest, VA (just outside of Lynchburg) and transmit from Rocky Mountain, the same location as WYYD. As of February 2008, the FCC has not yet approved that application.[2]
