Willie James Buchanon (born November 4, 1950 in Oceanside, California) was a graduate of Oceanside High School and San Diego State University.
He was a cornerback for the National Football League Green Bay Packers and was defensive rookie of the year in 1972 and a three-time Pro Bowl Player. He finished his career with his hometown San Diego Chargers, retiring with 28 career interceptions and 15 fumble recoveries. He is now a realtor in San Diego and his son William Buchanon plays wide receiver for the Oakland Raiders and won a national championship with the University of Southern California Trojans.
