[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Modern Wilmington Downtown.jpg

Image:Modern Wilmington Downtown.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

[edit] Pirates of the Caribbean

There is no evidence that Pirates of the Caribbean 3 was ever in Wilmington for filming. If it was so, please show some supporting documentation. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 59.147.118.244 (talk) 06:00, 25 December 2007 (UTC)

I agree. The Pirates of the Caribbean: At Worlds End page has a full list of places where the movie was shot and nowhere in North Carolina is ever mentioned. --Fromnc (talk) 08:19, 18 March 2008 (UTC)
I went ahead and took it out because it is clearly false information. If you choose to put it back in please let me know why on my talk page. Thanks. --Fromnc (talk) 22:16, 25 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Sugar Ray Leonard

Sugar Ray's page says he's from Wilmington, DELAWARE. Anyone know which is right/wrong? --FatBean (talk) 06:51, 18 February 2008 (UTC)

Delaware according to http://www.biography.com/search/article.do?id=9379459. John Reaves 07:02, 18 February 2008 (UTC)
The 3rd para from the top, listing several famous Wilmington people, does not list Leonard (if it ever did). But the last para - "Notable Wilmingtonians" - had him listed. I deleted it. Can always be added back later if its found he was from Wilm. NC....Engr105th (talk) 02:44, 25 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Temple of Israel (Wilmington, North Carolina)

I just created this stub, if someone wants to add it to the history section. I'm not sure where it fits because I'm not that familiar with Wilmington history, but the congregation is notable because it's the first synagogue in North Carolina. APK yada yada 08:52, 17 May 2008 (UTC)
