This person is one of the authors of a classic book in experimental design and a founder of an institute at the U of Wisconsin. It would be appreciated if those wishing to delete it (to save space??) would first educate themselves a little about the man. Eric Kvaalen (talk) 16:01, 29 March 2008 (UTC)

Neither of these facts ("author of classic book" and "founder of institute") is clear from the article. I suggest you add them, as they could establish the notability required.
Editors proposing an article for deletion for lack of notability should really make a good faith effort to establish notability for themselves.
