This is a WikiProject, a collaboration area and open group of editors dedicated to improving Wikipedia's coverage on Pakistan-related topics, or to organizing some internal Wikipedia process.

[edit] Scope

This WikiProject aims primarily to suggest how Pakistan-related articles can be put in to Wikipedia in an extensible and coherent manner. It also wishes to encourage participation in creating and expanding articles related to Pakistan on Wikipedia. This project also aims to standardize the structure and display of information in these articles. It is hoped that this project will help to focus the efforts of Wikipedians.

The scope of the project includes (but is not limited to):

  • History of Pakistan
  • Sports of Pakistan
  • Culture of Pakistan
  • Geology of Pakistan

and anything else related to Pakistan.

Newly contributed articles can be found listed at the Pakistan-related new articles page. Older contributions are archived here.

[edit] Participation

To participate you would need to follow these three steps.

  1. If you would like to participate, add your names to the project members page.
  2. Once you have included yourself in the member list, find a suitable department to work with. This project encompasses various departments that may be available in the navigation on the right-hand-side of this page.
  3. You can start helping out by editing a Pakistan-related article, helping to complete a task on our to-do list, or contributing to the discussion on one of our related talk pages. If you would like some suggestions, just ask on the talk page.

To help editors achieve their goals, WP Pakistan has various assessment criteria. You can help the editors by tagging talk pages of the articles you are working on with the project talk page banner. Here is how you can help.

  1. Tagging an article with the {{WP Pakistan}} helps editors keep track of the Pakistan-related articles. Make an effort to tag the articles.
  2. Try adopting an article. By adopting and article, you keep track of the changes being made on the articles and monitor its content for the sake of progress.
