Project News

• We have now reached over 27,600 film articles that have been assessed by our assessment department! Remember to always add the {{Film|class=}} template to a film article's talk page so the project can get a better idea of what work still needs to be done. Below is a table showing a breakdown of our articles by class and importance.
• As a result of recent discussions and polls on the use of the spoiler warning, the template should not be added to "Plot" or "Synopsis" related sections as the heading makes the use of the spoiler template redundant. For more information, see Wikipedia:Spoiler.
• The current Cinema Collaboration of the week is Monster. Go to the article page to help contribute on improving the article and visit the CCOTW page to vote on the next collaboration. Current candidates include 1960s in film, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Final Destination, and The Departed.
• Wikipedia:Good article candidates could use more assistance in reducing the backlog. There are currently several film-related articles that can be reviewed by any editor, as long as they follow the requirements of the GA criteria. Please help determine if the nominees are GA-quality.

• Spotlight Update: Multiple films and film-related articles have reached GA and FA status in June 2007. We now have over 50 featured articles!
