Note that an article may not show the promotion in the project template the same day that the article was promoted. Among the reason for a difference are:
- The article was promoted before it was part of the project. Then at a later date a {{ChicagoWikiProject}} template was added and updated.
- The article was promoted, but waited a few days for a bot to update all the article's talk page templates.
- The article was promoted, but the manual process was not completed properly.
- The article was not properly promoted via the review process and templates were updated later by someone thinking the article had been properly promoted.
