[edit] Maude

Your contributions to And Then There's Maude were removed because they constitute a copyright violation. The lyrics were written by someone and that person (or whomever currently owns the rights -- presumably the network that aired the program) still owns them. Therefore, they're not yours to add to Wikipedia. Everything on WP has to be licensed under the GFDL, and song lyrics, generally speaking, are not. The link to the video on YouTube is also a copyright violation -- we can't link to things that violate a copyright, and both the song and the video are still under copyright. I realize that you're new, so you might want to read up on some of our policies and guidelines. Below is a boilerplate welcome message that I sometimes leave for new members. It should point you in the right direction in learning about how to contribute to WP. Thanks for your contributions, though. —  MusicMaker5376 15:04, 22 October 2007 (UTC)

Please note that only free content media is allowed outside of the mainspace (WP:FAIRUSE). As such, some images have been removed from your userpage or user talk page. If you have any questions, contact me. Thanks, GDonato (talk) 22:27, 27 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned non-free media (Image:Lynx Screenshot SchemingMind.gif)

Thanks for uploading Image:Lynx Screenshot SchemingMind.gif. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 12:12, 13 March 2008 (UTC)
