This is a documentation subpage for Template:WikiProject Zimbabwe (see that page for the template itself).
It contains usage information, categories and other content that is not part of the original template page.

This template is the project banner for WikiProject Zimbabwe, and is added to the talk pages of articles within the Project's scope.

General parameters: small – "yes" enables the template to generate a smaller, right-aligned message box. class – a rating of the article's quality; see bellow for more details. importance – a rating of the article's importance; see bellow for more details. portal – if the article is used in the featured article queue of the Zimbabwe Portal, the subpage number of its entry. attention – "yes" if the article requires immediate attention; this should be used sparingly. needs-infobox – Answer "yes" if the article lacks a photo, otherwise remove this line. needs-photo – Answer "yes" if the article lacks an infobox, otherwise remove this line. needs-map – Answer "yes" if the article lacks a map, otherwise remove this line. merge - Needs merging action?... then add "yes". zwc-candidate – "yes" if the article is currently a candidate for the project's Zimbabwe Collaboration. zwc-current – "yes" if the article is currently collaboration for the project's Zimbabwe Collaboration. zwc-past – if the article was previously a Zimbabwe Collaboration, the dash-separated dates of the collaboration period; must be left blank otherwise. peer-review – "yes" if the article is currently listed on the project's peer review department. old-peer-review – "yes" if the article was previously listed on the project's peer review department. orphan – "yes" if the article is not currently supported by a Zimbabwean WikiProject. auto – This parameter is for the use of bots. It calls the {{stubclass}} template. Rhodesia - This adds the article to the Rhodesia taskforce

Setting the parameter |small=yes creates a more compact, right-aligned version. See Talk:Popora people for an example.

The first table below gives a brief, one-sentence description of possible quality scale values. Before assigning any article to a class, please take a few moments and read the full description of the Wikipedia:Version 1.0 Editorial Team's assessment system.

Each article may also be assigned to a particular class, intended as a point-in-time assessment of its overall "quality" - relative to the criteria given in the quality scale which is detailed below. Articles for which a valid class has not yet been provided are listed by default in Category:Unassessed Zimbabwe articles.

The following values may be used for the class parameter (they should be entered exactly as given):

Each article may also be assigned a particular importance; for Zimbabwe related articles, we make a ver simple use of this. Articles for which a valid importance has not yet been provided are listed by default in Category:Unknown-importance Zimbabwe articles.

The following values may be used for the importance parameter (they should be entered exactly as given):

Top	Major, broad articles like cities, mayor topics, or important people.	Top-importance Zimbabwe articles
High	All actual articles on the history of any Zimbabwe-related topic. Also articles about ethnic groups in Zimbabwe.	High-importance Zimbabwe articles
Mid	Other articles that are likely to be of general interest (for example, an article about the theatrical traditions of Zimbabwe).	Mid-importance Zimbabwe articles
Low	Articles that are not about Zimbabwe and are not likely to be of general interest (for example, a building that houses an organization); also disambiguation pages, which do not require an assessment.	Low-importance Zimbabwe articles

Anyway, exceptions can be considered if necessary.
