The station went on the air as WREI-FM on 1981-10-30. on 1982-09-15, the station changed its call sign to WREI, on 1993-06-01 to WQQZ, on 2000-10-25 to the current WIDI, on 2006-02-07 to WOYE, on 2006-02-22 to the current WIDI,[3]
