"Why'd You Lie to Me" is a song released by the American pop singer Anastacia. It was released as the fourth single from her second album Freak of Nature. It was co-written by Anastacia, Damon Sharpe, Greg Lawson, T.J. Parker, Damon Butler and Canela Cox. The song first appeared on the American pressing of Anastacia's debut album, Not That Kind.

[edit] Music video

Directed by Mike Lipscombe, the music video for "Why'd You Lie to Me" was shot in Los Angeles, USA on July 6th and 7th 2002. The video was later included on her first music DVD The Video Collection. This video is notable for being the first to show Anastacia without her trademark glasses.

The song was covered by Operacion Triunfo Series 6 finalist Noelia. She sang the song live on May 27, 2008 when the gala show took place. She was nominated by the panel for eviction, but was saved by the teachers. Operacion Triunfo is a popular spanish talent contest and the spanish equivalent of Fame Academy. [1]
