Whitney is a location in Penobscot County, Maine, United States of America.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the location has a total area of 18.4 square miles (47.6 km²), of which, 11.7 square miles (30.4 km²) of it is land and 6.6 square miles (17.1 km²) of it is water. The total area is 36.04% water.
