Whitfield's Ointment

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Whitfield's Ointment is 6% salicylic acid and 12% benzoic acid in a suitable base, such as lanolin or vaseline.[1]

It is used for the treatment of fungal infections, such as athlete's foot.

While cheap and effective, it is a relatively uncomfortable treatment and has a very noticeable burning effect.
