Whitchurch Highlands is a public Elementary school of the York Region District School Board. It is located on Warden Avenue (north-west corner of Warden Ave. and Bloomington Road) in the Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville, Ontario, Canada, and is situated on 17 acres of land, or more fondly called the 17 Acres Woods, a play on words from the children's books Winnie the pooh. The school's mascot is the wolf. The official opening of Whitchurch Highlands Public School was in 1968, and the school's design was considered revolutionary because its hallways are in a large circle around the gym with the classrooms radiating out from the hallways. Facilities in Whitchurch Highlands include: Music Room, Gym, Classrooms, Computer Lab, Outdoor Fields, Soccer Field, Outdoor Classrooms, Library, and Portables. There are approximately 60 computers in the school, distributed in the computer labs and around the school. As of 2005 there were 15 regular teachers, 2 French teachers, 4 SERT's, 3 CYW's, 2 EA's, and 2 caretakers. There is a strong parent teacher relation in the school.
