My full name is David White-Lief. I am a civil litigator in a small practice in Boston, in the law firm of Breakstone, White-Lief & Gluck, P.C. After clerking for one year on the Massachusetts Superior Court, I began practicing as a trial lawyer. I was a co-founder of my present firm in 1992.

I am a strong advocate for the independence of the judicairy, for a legal system which is responsive to the needs of the citizens of Massachusetts, and for a court system that is fair and efficient. This year I am serving as the Treasurer of the Massachusetts Bar Association.

I have testified frequently before the Massachusetts Legislature on civil trial matters, including the rights of injured workers, in opposition to senseless and anti-consumer automobile insurance proposals, and against further erosion of the rights of citizens in medical malpractice cases. I enjoy teaching at continuing legal education events about evidence, trial practice, and the consumer protection statutes in Massachusetts.
