[edit] Song list
An IP editor added a partial list of claimed track titles to the article. This will need a source if it's going to stay there. Gusworld (talk) 22:05, 5 April 2008 (UTC)
- Yeah, it's an interesting contribution, but I'm thinking this really isn't gonna fly without some type of citation. How long should we wait? :-) Souldier77 (talk) 02:46, 6 April 2008 (UTC)
OK, have converted the songs from a list to prose (preferred Wikipedia style, and less of a magnet for random additions). The Diane Warren song title didn't match the source, so I fixed that. "Undefeated" was only sourced to a blog and thus doesn't meet reliable sources criteria, so was removed. The entirely unsourced song was also removed.Gusworld (talk) 10:33, 6 April 2008 (UTC)
- Oh, and I took out the wedge of copied text re Eric Lee Hudson, which didn't add anything to the article other than a potential copyvio. I'm not really convinced the quote from Davis (as opposed to the ref) is needed either. Gusworld (talk) 10:34, 6 April 2008 (UTC)
I was working on it but you are a pain, I won't take the time to add anything else. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 85.53.169.169 (talk) 10:42, 6 April 2008 (UTC)

- Don't understand why you also deleted sourced material -- no reason for that not to be included, so I've restored it. Sorry if you were offended by the edits, but Wikipedia's policies regarding sourcing are pretty clear. I'd be happy to discuss the merits of a list vs prose, but the consensus on other articles has been that lists often attract unsourced edits and random vandalism. - 85.53.169.169 has once again deleted the material re the additional tracks, even though there were sources provided for them by that editor, and without explanation (beyond the "you are a pain" comment above). Will add them back in again and see what happens. Gusworld (talk) 19:57, 6 April 2008 (UTC)
I provided the sources so I feel that I have the right to delete the material if I consider so. I was working on the article but Gusworld didn't even let me finish it when he was changing everything, deleting material (hello?? I need at least 5 minutes to add the source!), etc. Anyway, I won't contribute anymore... —Preceding unsigned comment added by 85.53.169.169 (talk) 21:55, 6 April 2008 (UTC)

- I'm sorry that you no longer wish to contribute, and again I apologise if my editing caused you concern. I changed the text into list form 30 minutes after your last edit (as the history shows), which I would have thought was enough time to add a reference. Iideally, you should add a source at the same time information gets added -- that way challenges are less likely to occur and these kinds of conflicts are less likely arise.
- Wikipedia's structure and licence arrangements mean that no-one owns an article, and that articles are going to be subject to editing. While you absolutely have the right to participate or not as you see fit, you don't have the right to delete useful information simply because you added it in the first place. References are a rarity in articles about planned albums, and I see no reason why this article shouldn't have some! As I said before, I'm happy to discuss the merits of the different formats (list versus prose) and the types of sources that are acceptable further so we can reach consensus.
