Hi Lori! What kind of "more information" are we seeking here? Can we TALK "Professional suggestions" here?
PS: I have added few, is that helpful?

Thanks.

AnThRaX Ru, I'd be careful about giving professional advice to a complete stranger on the internet. If Lori is worried her mother has Whipple's disease she should, with her mother's agreement, discuss this with her mother's doctor. We are not a free consulting service and I would personally not want to take any professional responsibility for someone who could live on the other side of the world and have a completely different medical problem. Hi!
JFW,
I think, what Lori wants here is more details about this disease but not a professional help. So I ASKED: "more information" and "professional help". Well... I think Lori understand that.
No other hidden meanings.

Thanking you AnThRaX Ru (talk) —Preceding comment was added at 19:28, 5 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] question

Who is credited for discovering that Tropheryma whipplei causes Whipple's disease? ReasonableLogicalMan(Talk 20:32, 3 February 2008 (UTC)

PMID 1377787 seems to be the publication of relevance, although various groups were looking at bacterial rRNA prior to this result. JFW | T@lk 15:54, 4 February 2008 (UTC)
PMID 12672878 closes the circle: T. whipplei was detected in biopsies from Whipple's original 1907 patient! JFW | T@lk 15:58, 4 February 2008 (UTC)
