"Where Are They Now" is a song from Nas' 2006 album Hip Hop Is Dead. The song's lyrics are an homage to hip hop artists who are seemingly forgotten. Produced by Nas and Salaam Remi, the song samples "Get Up, Get Into It, Get Involved" by James Brown, a song previously sampled on "Set it Off" by Big Daddy Kane. Three official remixes of the song were released, each featuring various past emcees to whom Nas alluded on the original version.
