WEZZ (930 AM) is a radio station licensed to serve Monroeville, Alabama. The station is owned by Brantley Broadcast Associates, LLC. It airs a Gospel music format.[2]
The station was originally licensed in 1982 as WYNI, and was assigned the current WEZZ call letters by the Federal Communications Commission on July 5, 2007.[1] following the transfer of the license from McKissick Enterprises to Brantley Broadcast Associates.[3] on June 6, 2007.
In 2004, Joe McKissick applied to move the city of license for WEZZ from Monroeville, AL to Harahan, Louisiana. In October 2007, the FCC dismissed the request due to the change in ownership of the existing license, which is not permitted by the 2004 frequency auction process.[4]
