Wenshan Zhuang and Miao Autonomous Prefecture (simplified Chinese: 文山壮族苗族自治州; pinyin: Wenshān Zhuàngzú Miáozú Zìzhìzhōu)

Wenshan Prefecture is one frequented by many American (Hmong) the most since the turn of the century. The Hmong of Southeast Asia, especially in the Diaspora communities abroad, referred to Wenshan as Paj Tawg Lag, describing an undying flower that had stirred the heart of the Hmong (Miao) for many years in past history. Many of the elder in the areas still able to share the folklore.
