My username, Hong Qi Gong is the pinyin spelling of 〈洪七公〉. That's the name of a character in the wuxia novel 《射鵰英雄傳》, or "The Legend of the Condor Heroes", written by famous novelist Jin Yong. Also called 北丐 (Northern Beggar) and 九指神丐 (Nine-Fingered Beggar Master), Hong Qi Gong is the leader of the Beggars' Sect and is one of the five most powerful wushu masters in the novel, known for his signature disciplines the "18 Dragon Subduing Palms" and "36 Dog Beating Stick".
Most of my editing interests are in Hong Kong-related topics and China-related topics. I sometimes also edit general East Asian topics, Overseas Chinese topics, and Chinese American topics as well.
