Watarai District, Mie

Watarai (度会郡; -gun) is a district located in Mie, Japan.
As of 2006, the district has an estimated population of 53,023 and a density of 81.28 people per km². The total area is 652.39 km².

- On February 14, 2005, the towns of Kisei and Omiya merged with the village of Ouchiyama forming the new town of Taiki.
- On October 1, 2005, the towns of Nansei and Nanto merged to form the new town of Minamiise.
- On November 1, 2005, the towns of Futami and Obata, and village of Misono merged into the expanded city of Ise.
