The constituency covers the part of Bath and North East Somerset that is not in the Bath constituency. It also contains four wards or parts of wards from South Gloucestershire Council. It is named after the former Wansdyke district. At the next general election 2009/2010 much of this constituency will change to North East Somerset (UK Parliament constituency).,^[1]
