Wake Up and Smile

Wake Up and Smile was a sketch on the sketch comedy television show Saturday Night Live, aired on December 9, 1995. It features Will Ferrell as a morning talk show/news show host, with David Alan Grier (who hosted the episode) as a weatherman, and Nancy Walls as Ferrell's co-anchor. The sketch later appeared on Will Ferrell's second compilation DVD, Saturday Night Live - The Best of Will Ferrell - Volume 2.

The skit begins as a normal talk show with news and weather but chaos ensues when the teleprompter breaks. Stunned and horrified by the lack of structure, the news anchors soon revert to their basest animal instincts, in a loose and gory parody of Lord of the Flies.
