Some progress on the article

Hey Wafulz it seems we may actually get some progress on the Technocracy articles, so I was wondering if you'd like to contribute on the talk page, as you're experienced by now about the issues involved. --Hibernian (talk) 10:54, 3 May 2008 (UTC)

Deletion???

why did u delete the Strauss Creameries article??? There are 1000s of company articles on wikipedia, from DOW to GE etc etc... it is perfectly legit to list a company... they are not so big as DOW, but they do now have one of biggest organic milk companys in the west, and were perhaps the first.......

i wrote the article mainly, i have no connection to that company or anyone in it... it was not an advertisement, its just their practices sound nice really, if u list what they do on their farm it sounds pretty nice u know... but a lot of the big MNC wikipedia pages do read like advertisements, and list only positive things... that wasnt fairplay what u did, it wasnt given equal treatment as so many other companies... and now i have to waste a bunch of my time pulling it back after hours of work writing it... please try spending ur time adding material and not taking it off... i see u work on a lot of pages with people no one has ever heard of, and so many of them could be deleted u know...

thanks...

GA Review of group (mathematics)

Hi,

thanks for your review. The issues you raised have now been fixed. Could you have a look, please? Thank you,

Jakob.scholbach (talk) 18:05, 6 May 2008 (UTC)

Thanks, I'll have a look tonight.-Wafulz (talk) 18:06, 6 May 2008 (UTC)

It's me again. After your review, User:Geometry guy did another thorough review, and we have been incorporating his criticism and ideas. I believe, the issues raised by him are settled. He, however, already said he doesn't want to say thumbs up or down, so, could you have another look? Or should we ask for a third opinion? Thank you. Jakob.scholbach (talk) 18:48, 14 May 2008 (UTC)

Your help please...

I requested deletion of Saeed Ali Al-Farha Al-Ghamdi last June, an article for which I was the sole author.

I have encountered more information about him, and would like to review the earlier content, to see if it can meaningfully be combined with the new material. Could you userify the original article to User:Geo Swan/Guantana/Review/Saeed Ali Al-Farha Al-Ghamdi?

Thanks! Geo Swan (talk) 18:17, 7 May 2008 (UTC)

Done.-Wafulz (talk) 18:20, 7 May 2008 (UTC)

Biewer

Hello Wafulz, This is Gayle Pruett. I had talked with you about the deletion of the Biewer Terrier history before. That's not my problem. The lady that deleted all the information about the BTCA in Nov last year, IP No# 67.183.163.223 is now signed in as dogMommy, and has added information that is advertising for the BBCI club and the picture she has added is advertisment for her dogs. There is only one club that has been accepted as the mother club for the Biewer in the USA and that is the BTCA, Inc. She is changing information and adding their clubs, personal views. I believe this information should be removed. Thank you Gayle

Someone's already done it, but so you know, you can do it yourself too.-Wafulz (talk) 12:11, 8 May 2008 (UTC)

biewer

Thank You Wafulz. I believe it was better that someone with authority did it. I think the link they have for the BBCI standard should be removed, as it is just an advertising tool for them. The standard was created by one of 150 clubs in Germany. It is basically the same standard listed by the IBC. Thank You for your time. Gayle

question about a user using his main page for a mock up article on Technocracy movement

Is that a good idea..? or should it be done that way? This user is making a site on his user page of a mock copy of what he says is a future article. Is this not confusing or would be for people stumbling on it from google or elsewhere ? I added the disclaimer on the top of the users mock up. Was that a good idea ? Should not this mock article be done in a sand box instead of a page that could until I put the disclaimer on it be misconstrued for a real wiki article? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Firebladed/newtincdraft User:Firebladed/newtincdraft - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Please act and inform accordingly as to appropriateness and policy. I will mention this to a couple other people for feed back.

This is what I added at the top... This is not a real wikipedia article. It is a mock up or practice article. In no way should it be confused for an actual wikipedia article although this subject herein may google up as such. This disclaimer is made in case there is any confusion on this point. This editing project is an attempt to write a better sourced article elsewhere. It is a draft and no doubt contains multiple errors which are in the process of being worked out here in sandbox form. skip sievert (talk) 00:19, 9 May 2008 (UTC)

On the Hal Gill Page-I am trying to find a more reliable source (newspaper), but this is what Pittsburgh Penguins radio announcers and fans are calling him. Hi Wafulz, Just to say I have watching gratefully, very pleased that there are other voices responding. I haven't been commenting because I suspect that known quantities like me would make things worse, not better, at least in the short term. But I would be happy to get involved anytime you think it would be helpful, and may do so anyway, especially if particular issues about content and references come up that I could help with. Anyway, thanks! --Slp1 (talk) 21:08, 13 May 2008 (UTC)

External references of Silvio Berlusconi

Hi Wafulz,

I noticed you removed the external wikio references that I added. I think they have a added value because they give a clear view on the character and person(and his view on life) of Silvio Berlusconi. The first reference(a threath for European democracy?) is an exact overview of facts and statements(that all can be checked easily) of Berlusconi himself one week before the 2008 elections. The reader himself can judge what he has to think about it. The second article states that Berlusconi allready now owns a lot of the world media, also this information is relevant, I should think.

In the other references, there are much more negative views on this person but they are often in Italian(Marco Travaglio) I have the benefit that I speak fluently Italian and that i come in Italy for 16 years. My article is an exact overview of all statements and facts and has been sent to all European parliament members, foreign and local press. Regarding the content, there hasn't been any remark or argueing.

Thanks in advance,

Hans

Sorry, but our policy on biographies of living people states that we have to use utmost caution with such material. You should probably discuss this on the article's talk page.-Wafulz (talk) 12:21, 15 May 2008 (UTC)

Hi Wafulz,

Thank you for your answer. I understand your preoccupation but I put my article in the external links section and not the references section. In that external links section there are Italian sites that are very negative about Silvio Berlusconi. I doubt that somebody has checked that content.

Like I said before. My article is a live report of one week before the elections 2008 and are all statements of Mr Berlusconi himself

An example: A few days before the elections, Silvio says(and this was not one of his jokes) that Vittorio Mangano was a real hero because he never confessed under pressure compromising things about him. This statement was not a coincidence, it was a clear message to South Italy and it says a lot more then all the trials and maffia accusations in which Silvio Berlusconi has been involved until now. I think that is important information. Do me a pleasure and read the wikipedia section of Vittorio Mangano and you will see what I mean.

What can be wrong in citating statements of Silvio Berlusconi? I'm responsable for the content. I can assure you that Silvio Berlusconi has an army of lawyers that react immediately if you spread false information. I can understand that you don't want it in the references section but why not in the external links section? And if not, are all external links so severely monitored?

Thanks in advance(and give me a chance, please...)

Hans

There's a few things wrong with your contribution
  1. The links don't meet external link criteria
  2. Per the biography of living persons policy, poor links must be removed
  3. You should re-examine your motivation to add links with a negative spin. Given that the core principle here is objectivity, it doesn't make sense to add links with an obvious spin.-Wafulz (talk) 19:48, 15 May 2008 (UTC)

Hockey people names

I'm just taking information I'm getting out of the book I cited for Mario Lemieux. About the only other evidence I can find about Mario Lemieux's birth-name is from another Wikipedia article: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Quack_688/List_of_people_whose_full_names_are_not_commonly_known I guess if my sources don't seem credible enough, there's really no way I can prove my information outside of hand-delivering a book. Google searches haven't proved that useful, either. Oh well, I tried :( Avalanchebad (talk) 06:52, 19 May 2008 (UTC)

Yes, because the images (such as the one in question) were all tagged with C5, which would lead one to assume that Blueberrypie12 was a recreation of a now-banned user. seicer | talk | contribs 17:27, 29 May 2008 (UTC)
