Von Dutch is an American multinational clothing company named after motocyclist Kenny Howard.
After Von Dutch’s death his heirs including his sister Virginia sold his name to a fashion designer who started marketing and designing clothing with his trademarked symbol and name.
The Von Dutch company, now owned by Danish Kick Boxing Champion, Tonny Sorensen, and Jaime Aguilar, is now a multinational clothing company widely recognized for getting product placement of their clothing on the rich and famous, famous movie stars and music performers both male and female. Famous people who endorse the clothing range from Richie Sambora of Bon Jovi, to Jeremy Jackson formerly of Baywatch and Ashton Kutcher to the UK's Jordan (Katie Price) and Duncan Sheik. The Von Dutch label has thus become almost synonymous with celebrity fashion particularly famous for their faded style designer t shirts and baseball caps.
The Von Dutch corporation has also used the Von Dutch logo on accessories and now energy drinks.
In addition, Austin Powers actor Verne Troyer who played Mini Me in the film can be seen wearing Von Dutch clothing several times during his appearance on the VH1 program The Surreal Life.
