Vince Gilligan

Vince Gilligan (born February 10, 1967 in Richmond, Virginia) is an American producer, writer, and the creator of the television series Breaking Bad. He has also worked on The X Files and The Lone Gunmen. He is a graduate of the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University.

Gilligan started his producing career on the series Harsh Realm as a consulting producer. His big hit came where he became the co-executive producer,executive producer, co-producer, and supervising producer of the FOX popular television drama The X Files. He was co-executive producer of 44 episodes, executive producer of 40, co-producer of 24 and supervising producing of 20. After The X Files, he became executive producer of all the thirteen episodes of The Lone Gunmen. Gilligan became very critical acclaimed when he created the popular AMC television program called Breaking Bad. The show recently finished its first season and a second season is being prepared.
