Some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article The Romanes may not be sufficiently well-known to merit articles of their own. The Wikipedia community welcomes newcomers, and encourages them to become Wikipedians. On Wikipedia, each user is entitled to a user page in which they can describe themselves, and this article's content may be incorporated into that page. However, to merit inclusion in the encyclopedia proper, a subject must be notable. We encourage you to write or improve articles on notable subjects. FreplySpang (talk) 22:54, 3 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] License tagging for Image:Romanes Logo.JPG

Thanks for uploading Image:Romanes Logo.JPG. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 01:07, 11 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Wiki vanity

Hello, I am FlareNUKE, and I would like to explain about the article you edited (Romanes), now, I am assuming this is some garage band you have started with your friends, but thing is. Wiki has a rule against this. Don't feel bad, one of my first edits was the addition of a band So Fweet; it was quickly deleted. Wikipedia usually only accepts commercial or famous bands. Another rule you've went against is that you should rarely edit a page if it deals with you. --FlareNUKE 07:19, 11 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Ali Lohan 7.jpg

Thank you for uploading Image:Ali Lohan 7.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this image under "fair use" may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the image description page and add or clarify the reason why the image qualifies for fair use. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a fair use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for images used under the fair use policy require both a copyright tag and a fair use rationale.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it might be deleted by adminstrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. 72.67.104.27 (talk) 01:39, 10 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned non-free image (Image:Ali Lohan.jpg)

⚠

Thanks for uploading Image:Ali Lohan.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. 72.67.104.27 (talk) 01:44, 10 April 2008 (UTC)
