Vasilis Xanthopoulos (el:Βασίλης Ξανθόπουλος) born April 29th, 1984 in Athens, Greece. He is a Greek professional basketball player. He is 1.86m tall. Xanthopoulos grew up playing for the Olympiacos BC junior teams, starting to play with them in 1997. He began his professional career in 2002, with Near East BC, in the Greek A2 League.

Xanthopoulos transferred from Near East BC to Panathinaikos BC of the Greek A1 league in 2004 and with them he won the Triple Crown in Basketball Championship in 2007. His team accomplished this by winning the Greek Championship, Greek Cup, and the Euroleague all in the same season. With Panathinaikos, Xanthopoulos won 3 Greek Championships and 3 Greek Cups in a row.
In 2007 he transeferred to Panionios BC and he currently plays for them. He has also been a member of the Greek junior national teams Under-16 and Under-18.
