Varg Veum

Varg Veum is a series of crime novels written by Gunnar Staalesen, about the private detective Varg Veum, who lives in Bergen, on the west coast of Norway. The books have been translated to several languages, including English, German, Swedish, and Danish.

In 2005, it was announced by the Norwegian film production company SF Norge, that it would be made a six films based on the books.[1] The first film, "Bitre Blomster" (lit. Bitter Flowers), opened in cinemas in Norway September 28, 2007.[2] The film is directed by the Norwegian director Ulrik Imtiaz Rolfsen, who also directed Izzat. "Tornerose" (Sleeping Beauty) and "Din Til Døden" (Yours Until Death), directed by Erik Richter Strand, have won awards both in Europe and in the United States.[citation needed] Varg Veum is played by Norwegian actor Trond Espen Seim, know from several other Norwegian productions.

As of November 2007, the filming of last film, "Begravde Hunder Biter Ikke" (Buried Dogs Don't Bite) is almost finished. However, the second film "Tornerose", will not be shown until February 2008, followed by the third film, "Din Til Døden", in March 2008.Template:Confusion. "Falne engler" il be realased on 4. april.
