Valvasone is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Pordenone in the Italian region Friuli-Venezia Giulia, located about 80 km northwest of Trieste and about 15 km east of Pordenone. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 2,095 and an area of 17.9 km².[1]
The municipality of Valvasone contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Casamatta, Pozzo dipinto, Ponte Tagliamento, and Torricella.
Valvasone borders the following municipalities: Arzene, Casarsa della Delizia, Codroipo, San Martino al Tagliamento, San Vito al Tagliamento, Sedegliano.
