[edit] Origin of the name Calicut

In the edit summary of the page Kozhikode, you have indicated that "calicut comes from kalikoot the cloth of the same name". I think it is the other way round. The name calico (a type of cotton) is derived from the city name Calicut where the cotton is traditionally woven. -Salih (talk) 14:10, 11 May 2008 (UTC)

I think I blundered there. You must be right. Uzhuthiran (talk) 12:54, 16 May 2008 (UTC)
OK. I am reverting that part of your edits in Kozhikode. Hope no objection from your side. Thanks. -Salih (talk) 15:15, 17 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Labour India

I noticed that User:Rashtrakooda added the templates to the article and later you undid my edit & supported Rashtrakooda. Please explain the reason why you undid my edit. If it is a matter of minor change of tone, you are requested to fix it. You commented that even the first two sentences are incoherent. Anyhow, I edited it & removed templates. Please free to edit it. Thanks. --Avinesh Jose  T  04:09, 17 May 2008 (UTC)
