[edit] Category

I feel as though the category used for this userbox (Category:WikiProject user templates) is incorrect. Since the userbox is not related directly to a WikiProject, it should not have that category. The main use of this userbox is for the residents and people from Dubai, not for WikiProject Dubai. Therefore it should be changed. How does Category:Wikipedians in Dubai sound? I agree that it should be changed, but not to a new Category:Wikipedians in Dubai. Category:Place of residence user templates would be fine; the category is <noinclude></noinclude>, so placing the template on a user page will not place that user in a category, and the cat only applies to this template. I have already changed it; thank you for bringing this up. Cheers, Rai-me 02:46, 2 February 2008 (UTC)
That makes sense. But, should we use <includeonly></includeonly> so that Category:Wikipedians in Dubai appears on the talk pages of people that use this userbox? This would create consistency with other Place of residence user templates, such as {{User American}}. Leitmanp (talk | contributions) 04:10, 2 February 2008 (UTC)
Perhaps broadening it to all Wikipedians in the UAE? For example, the Lisbon userbox puts users into Category:Portuguese Wikipedians. Rai-me 04:27, 2 February 2008 (UTC)
Actually, on second thought, I agree; Dubai, as a major world city, should have its own user catgeory. Rai-me 04:28, 2 February 2008 (UTC)
Okay, I've finished with the category creation. Cheers, Rai-me 04:55, 2 February 2008 (UTC)
