I question this definition of Uptown Toronto. Historically Uptown was the area around the university, including Yorkville. This definition is still used by the city on its Discovery Walks page, and was the origin of the name of the Uptown Theatre. In my personal experience when people today say they live in the Uptown area, they mean the St. Clair area between Young and Bathurst. The [Uptwon Younge Business Improvement Area http://www.toronto.ca/bia/pdf/uptownyonge.pdf] has yet another definition, placing the region between Eglinton and Lawrence. - SimonP 13:49, 10 April 2007 (UTC)
