The United States Basketball League OTCBB: USBL is a professional men's spring basketball league. The league was formed in 1985 and has been in continuous operation every year except 1989. The current champions are the Kansas Cagerz, who won the title game on July 1, 2007.

After speculation that the USBL might fold after the 2007 season[1], the league announced that it will sit out the 2008 season and consider its options for the future.[2]
[edit] 2007 season
Originally the USBL began 2007 with ten teams in two five-team divisions, but the failure of the New Jersey Meteors, Delaware Stars and Jackson Wildcats (and the initial failure and later reinstatement of the Long Island PrimeTime), the league was realigned in mid-season into a single division.
