Fred Couples (born October 3, 1959) is an American professional golfer and former World No. 1 (the first American to achieve this rank) who competes on the PGA Tour. He has won numerous events including fifteen PGA victories, and is most famous for winning the 1992 Masters Tournament. Because of his long drives, he has been given the nickname "Boom Boom." Couples was a member of the UH men's golf team, and a 1980 graduate of the university. (more...)
