[edit] Summary
Care is needed when reading this order of battle; Ukrainian force sizes and designations do not necessarily equate to either Western (US/British) practices or those of the Soviet Army or Russian Ground Forces. At some point during the 1990s the Command of the Ukrainian Ground Forces decided to rename all the divisions brigades. Divisions (like the 93rd) were renamed brigades but their size didn't really change. However, newly raised brigades (like the 25th) were appropriately sized (around 3-5 combat manouvre battalions, 3-6,000 personnel), when they were first formed.
