- SR 5 Cowlitz-Natches Road (1905) included US 12 Salkum-SR 123
- SR 9 Montesano-Port Angeles Road (1905) included US 12 Aberdeen-Montesano
- 1913: Olympic Highway included US 12 Aberdeen-Elma; National Park Highway included US 12 Chehalis-Morton (Morton-SR 123 remained SR 5); McClellan Pass Highway included US 12 Naches-Yakima; Inland Empire Highway included US 12 Yakima-Idaho
- 1923: above became SR 9, SR 5, SR 5, SR 3 respectively
- 1925: Elma-Grand Mound added as branch of SR 9
