Tullow Oil plc (LSE: TLW) is a British-based oil exploration and production business headquartered in London.
The Company was founded in 1985 in the Republic of Ireland. It is listed on the London Stock Exchange and is a constituent of the FTSE 100 Index.
Tullow Oil operates mainly in Europe, Africa and South Asia.
It has expanded rapidly in recent years notably through the acquisition of Hardman Resources in January 2007.
The Group reported operating profit of £189m on revenue of £639m for the year ended 31 December 2007.
