[edit] Trixbox

A tag has been placed on Trixbox, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam.

If you can indicate why the subject of this article is not blatant advertising, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}} on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would help make it encyclopedic, as well as adding any citations from reliable sources to ensure that the article will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Smashville 20:06, 20 August 2007 (UTC)

Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from articles you have created yourself. Please use the {{hangon}} template on the page instead if you disagree with the deletion. Thank you. Smashville 20:50, 20 August 2007 (UTC)

This article was also previously deleted after consensus at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Trixbox (Second nomination). Please don't post it again -- if you want to challenge the deletion, you need to go to Wikipedia:Deletion review. NawlinWiki 20:50, 20 August 2007 (UTC)

Please stop. If you continue to ignore our policies by introducing inappropriate pages, such as Trixbox, to Wikipedia, you will be blocked. You were told not to post it again, so, why did you post it again with no new info? If you have an issue with it - submit to the deletion review. Smashville 21:15, 20 August 2007 (UTC)

Sorry about that I am still learning how all this works. The page was deleted before I could start a descussion about the deletion. So I recreate the page with no content and just a deletion review tag right? I am not the president of any company this is just an open source project (free software like linux)

This user's request to have the autoblock on his/her IP address lifted has been DECLINED.

Autoblocked because your IP address was recently used by "Trixbox". The reason given for Trixbox's block is: "Vandalism: repeatedly reposting deleted article".

  • Decline reason:

This is not an autoblock, you have not given any reason for unblock, and a 24-hour block is a reasonable amount of time for you to learn how to use Deletion Review and read the conflict of interest guidelines. — FisherQueen (Talk) 21:49, 20 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Trixbox logo.jpg

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Trixbox logo.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. --YbborTalk 20:53, 20 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] 24 hour block

You have been temporarily blocked from editing Wikipedia as a result of your disruptive edits. You are free to make constructive edits after the block has expired, but please note that vandalism (including page blanking or addition of random text), spam, deliberate misinformation, privacy violations, personal attacks; and repeated, blatant violations of our polices concerning neutral point of view and biographies of living persons will not be tolerated. This is for repeatedly reposting Trixbox after being repeatedly warned not to do that, and having been repeatedly told how to proceed. To reiterate: because the article was previously deleted through the Wikipedia:Articles for deletion process, you can't just repost it. You need to go to Wikipedia:Deletion review and explain *there* why a new article should be created. Also, you should take a look at Wikipedia:Conflict of interest -- as the president of the company that makes Trixbox, you shouldn't be writing an article on it. NawlinWiki 21:31, 20 August 2007 (UTC)

This blocked user (block log | autoblocks | rangeblocks | unblock | contribs | deleted contribs) has asked to be unblocked, but an administrator has reviewed and declined this request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy). Do not remove this unblock request while you are blocked.

Request reason: "it is very confusing for a new user to figure out how to make a page in Wikipedia. I still don’t quite understand how to get this page undeleted. I create a new trixbox page and put an Newdelrev tag in it? Please help. Thanks!"

Decline reason: "The page was previously deleted after a discussion here. Please take time to review our policies on reposting deleted content. You will have to initiate a discussion at WP:DRV after your block expires, which was valid due to the disruption you were causing. — Stephen 1-800-STEVE 23:38, 20 August 2007 (UTC)"

Please make any further unblock requests by using the {{unblock}} template. However, abuse of the template may result in your talk page being protected.
