Hello

Welcome
Bienvenue
Bienvenido/Bienvenida
to Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia!
Wikipedia is a free-content encyclopedia written in 250 languages by thousands of users like you and me from all walks of life. As a member of the Welcoming Committee, I would like to say thanks for being a part of this project.

Here are some links to help you, the new user, on your Wikipedia journey:

Whether you're new to the project or have helped us for a while, remember to use edit summaries when you're done with a page. Summaries are important because, with those, other editors will understand what you have done with the content. REMEMBER: think twice before clicking "Save page" below the editing box, since whatever you write in the summary box will permamently go in the history of any page. (Spellchecking is important; you cannot change the summary data after you have finished editing.)

Remember, also, to sign your name with four tildes (~~~~) or by pressing this button (Signature button) above the box, whenever leaving comments on talk pages.

If you want to know how you're doing on Wikipedia, feel free to check out your list of contributions.

If you don't know how to do something, type {{helpme}} on your talk page, and administrators will come to solve your problems.

After you've stayed here for a while, you might want to take an editor review, or, even better, take a chance at adminship.

Wherever the journey takes you, I wish you the best of luck and respect on Wikipedia. If you have any questions about my expertise or this site, you can e-mail me or talk to me, and I will see about the situation as best as possible.

In the meantime, happy editing!

Welcome to my Talk Page! If you've found your way here, congratulations; I had a devil of a time finding it myself, even by clicking the link of my own signature.

Pending:

My Enemy, My Ally, by Diane Duane A very well-written Star Trek novel that in spite of my own efforts, has been without a Wikipedia article since at least July. No fewer than two editors have shot the article down rather than label the Plot Summary as a Plot Summary (mea culpa, already; what do you people want from me?) I didn't realize Wikipedia had a blacklist of Forbidden Books, but that's the only reason I can come up with; no other explanation has been forthcoming. TravellerDMT-07 17:33, 1 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] My Enemy, My Ally

Unfortunately, a book article that is merely a plot summary does end up getting deleted, however notable it may or may not be. (See here). To find out what a good article on a book should look like, have a look at this page. I have copied the deleted page to a subpage of your user area - it's here User:TravellerDMT-07/Temp. You can edit this version, then, when you think the article is good enough, drop me a note on my talk page and I'll have a look. Thanks, ELIMINATORJR 19:17, 1 September 2007 (UTC)

Thank you. Potential Wikimprovement: cut-n-pastable templates? Without one, I'll have to go to an approved article, copy the whole thing to a new page, insert the old summary and edit everything else to fit, right? Grr. I'd trust myself more to insert what's known than inadvertently leave in something wrong or irrelevant. TravellerDMT-07 05:27, 4 September 2007 (UTC)
