[edit] Reassessing
I think this one's Stub-class... just a few sentences and some stats. Wantok (toktok) 02:52, 21 July 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Statement
Where it says that most transport is run by church groups, this is grossly inaccurate at best. Most airlines (like Airlines PNG and shipping companies like Steamships are private companies. I don't have the time to rewrite this article atm, so I am almost on the verge of removing this paragraph. aliasd·U·T 07:12, 22 July 2007 (UTC)
- WP:BB! I've edited it to fix that and some of the other inaccuracies. Needs major, major work, of course. Wantok (toktok) 09:48, 22 July 2007 (UTC)
- Oh, and a sign of how scarily out of date the stats/lists are: Kieta was listed as one of the main ports of the country. Wow. Wantok (toktok) 09:51, 22 July 2007 (UTC)

- The current world factbook lists Rabaul as one of the major ports, along with Kimbe and Lae... I wonder if this is even correct? aliasd·U·T 10:34, 22 July 2007 (UTC)
- Kimbe, Lae, and Rabaul as the three major ports? I haven't seen the shipping movement figures but I find it very hard to believe that Rabaul would be anywhere near POM, for one thing. I'll see if I can dig up some stats... Wantok (toktok) 14:27, 27 July 2007 (UTC)
