The description for this article, should state the clearly what is, and what is not a "township" in Quebec. Does it exclusively refer to cantons? What about parishes, and or other types of municipalities? Anyhow, I'm not arguing with the category at this stage, because it first needs a proper definition. --rob 02:14, 20 August 2005 (UTC)

Quebec's "cantons" are known as "townships" in English. "Paroises" are "parishes". Other municipalities are designated "city", "town", "village" or simply "muncipality". - Farquard 03:34, 20 August 2005 (UTC)
