This article could use a little more information. Like, how toplists are supposed to benefit our web usage, or how we are to properly use them.

It seems all the links on toplists, which ostensibly lead to other web sites, actually just lead to the other sites' toplist pages. We've all done time in Toplist Jail. One wonders, do any of those sites have any content other than toplist pages? If so, can one get to it from a toplist page? If so, how? And if not, again why do they exist? What good is it to have your site rise to the top of the list if your site is nothing but a toplist?
