shouldn't there be more about his life, rather than just a long list of works? Billy Shears 19:31, 20 October 2005 (UTC)

Absolutely--if you have some sourced info to add in, go for it! --Dvyost 20:52, 20 October 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Stub tags

I've taken the liberty of adding {{US-bio-stub}} & {{Theat-stub}} to the article, on the grounds that the actual article is only 1-1/2 paragraphs long, with the rest taken up by a massive bibliography. What's his history? What are his themes? What is his importance to theater and culture (popular or otherwise)? Why should we be reading this article? --Calton | Talk 05:32, 10 November 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Clarification

Users should be careful not to confuse this Tony Kushner with the eminent British historian Professor Tony Kushner, Director of the AHRC Parkes Centre for the study of Jewish/non-Jewish relations at the University of Southampton. I mention this as the Kushner here was attributed as author of Disraeli's Jewishness, which infact was a book edited by Professor Kushner. More information on the professor is available here: http://www.history.soton.ac.uk/kushner.htm

[edit] Wrong Tony?

re: Peter's Pixie, by Donn Kushner, illustrated by Sylvie Daigneault, introduction by Tony Kushner, Tundra Books, 2003 In the introduction, Tony writes that he is Donn's son. Donn was a Canadian university prof and children's author.

[edit] Tony Kushner showing Anti-Catholicism

In the Nation magazine, he called the now deceased Pope John Paul II "a homicidal liar." I put direct links to the nation and the article. To make a statement like that is not only slander but could be grounds for a lawsuit. It is also anti-Catholic. Just because you do not agree with someone's belief on homosexuals, does not mean that you should call them killers. That is a very serious accusation. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 69.201.139.186 (talk) 05:48, 29 January 2007 (UTC).

It is NOT "Anti-Catholicism" to make a personal denounciation of a Pontiff. Anti-Catholicism means you are expressing opposition to the existence of the Catholic Church. Ken Burch 09:07, 3 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] "Kushner's ANTI-ZIONISM"?

In the article, Tony Kushner specifically states that he SUPPORTS the continued existence of Israel. Referring to his "anti-Zionism" is not only POV but blatantly inaccurate. I will edit it myself, since there's no excuse for that term being applied to Kushner's views on the Israel/Palestine issue. Ken Burch 09:09, 3 April 2008 (UTC)
