Tom "Tommy Q" Quincy (played by Tim Rozon) is a fictional character from the Canadian TV show Instant Star.
Tommy Q was an original member of a boy band called Boys Attack. The band broke up because of a feud between Tommy and Chad, the originator of the band. When Jude Harrison wins the Instant Star contest, Georgia (who ran G-Major Records at the time) pairs her with Tommy Q, who has become a brilliant producer. Jude is a little bit disapointed by the choice, calling him lame. Tommy, who is equally happy with his new charge, starts by making her play her new song, 24 Hours. He calls it boring and tells her to re write it. Thus begins the biggest and most complicated relationship in the show, the romantic interest between Tommy Q and Jude Harrison.
While Tommy Q was a member of Boys Attack, he met and married Portia Mills (his manager Darius Mill's little sister). Soon, Tommy became involved with a back up singer, Angie. He fell in love with her and was planning on running away with her. Knowing this, Portia cut the brakes on Tommy's car. However, Darius had convinced Tommy to stay for his career and had broken up with Angie, who wound up driving away in Tommy's car, killing herself in the process. Darius covered up the crime and for the majority of three seasons (five years since it happened) Tommy held on to the belief that he had killed Angie.
On Jude's sixteenth birthday, after Shay dumps her, she asks Tommy what is wrong with her, why she can't get guys to fall in love with her. "You are asking the wrong guy," he says and kisses her. Tommy then tells her that either he could quit being her producer, or he could stay if they agree it didn't happen, breaking her heart for the second time that night. Tommy then starts dating Jude's older sister, Sadie.
In season two, Sadie dumps Tommy when she believes he cheated on her. For a while, due mostly to Jude pushing Tommy into a hot tub, their relationship is strained until Jude winds up spending her seventeenth birthday party locked in an abandoned building with Tommy. They wind up writing a song, Liar Liar and make up.
In season three, shortly before Jude's eigthteenth birthday, Jude and Tommy get together. However, Angie's older brother has gotten out of jail and is hell-bent on revenge for Angie's death. Hunter (her brother) is certain only Tommy knows what happened that night and he is determined to find out. Hunter wants to destroy all that Tommy loves becuse Tommy destroyed all he loved (Angie). Because of this, at Jude's birthday party, Tommy acts like they are not together, hurting her, trying to protect her from him. Because of this, Tommy gets very drunk and Sadie takes him to a hotel room (the party is at a hotel). Trying to figure out who she has feelings for, Tommy or Kwest, she kisses Tommy. He was a little too out of it to stop her and Jude walked in. She dumps him. Sadie hadn't even known they were together.
At the end of Season three, the truth of Angie's death comes out and Portia is arrested. Tommy gives Jude a plane ticket and asks her to come away with him because he loves her. Jamie had already said something similar to Jude, forcing her to make a final decision on who she wants and loves.
Jude Harrison picks Tommy Q as her love interest and wants to develop a serious grown-up relationship. In the first episode of season 4 Tommy and Jude finally sleep together.
