Tomb C.3
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Theban Tomb designated C.3 is located in somewhere in Sheikh Abd el-Qurna, part of the Theban Necropolis, on the west bank of the Nile, opposite to Luxor.[1], although it's precise location is now lost. It is the burial place of the Ancient Egyptian noble, Amenhotep.[2]
It is thought to be somewhere near tomb TT61, based on inscriptions that seem to link the 2 tombs. A statue of Amenhotep was found in the tomb of Senneferi, TT99, and may have been related to him in someway. The tomb was recorded by Karl Piehl in the 1880s, and this is the only record of its decoration and contents.
